Tacho Manager and View Software Application
- What is Tacho Manager?
The Tachograph Manager is an all-in-one solution which allows you to store and analyse your tachograph data and give you insight into the driver’s performance.
- What is Tacho View?
It allows reflecting driver’s activity based on a so-called “timeline” for better visual analysis. The app shows driving times and rest periods of the registered driver. … By choosing the necessary date, user can see the detailed driver’s activity over the specified period.
Tachograph analysis software explained.
Tachographs and associated region-dependent legal regulations are in the focus when it comes to satellite monitoring market.
We always try to keep an eye on such trends, adjusting its product to the emerging conditions of GPS tracking market.
Looking up to legislative peculiarities of AETR parameters (European Agreement on the Work of Crews of Vehicles engaged in International Road Transport) we provided our clients with the opportunity to remotely download tachograph files and control driver activity throughout the route. The function is effectively implemented in Tacho Manager and Tacho View tachograph analysis tools, being a part of the system.
Tacho Manager: processing DDD-files
Tacho Manager application available in Apps menu of the monitoring panel allows to import driver log files (DDD-files) to the server, where the uploaded files get stored for the extended period of time for further tachograph analysis. Manual or automatic DDD-files upload is available.
Tacho Manager allows to bind data to drivers and view detailed information on driver profiles.
Tacho View: operating hours analysis
The application utilises a specific algorithm to count hours of operation based on the legislative peculiarities of the region concerned.
Tacho View application is developed to analyse data, acquired from tachograph files. Tachograph analysis is based on such criteria as driving, work, availability, and rest. Driver activity data is visually presented as a “timeline”, allowing to mark the necessary periods easier.
Tacho View offers three report types for crew activity presented in a list-form.
- “Driver activity”
The contents of this report are presented in tabular format. By choosing the necessary date a user can see detailed driver activity over a specified period.
- “Activity chart”
In this case the specified time period is divided into days, where the relevant types of driver activity are marked by color indicators.
By choosing this type of report you get a table with such parameters as infringement date and start time, infringement type, brief description, and seriousness.
All the entries can be printed or exported to Excel-file.
It allows the driver to keep an eye on the remaining on-duty and driving time and generate individual electronic logs on driver’s smartphone for roadside inspections.
The app connects field and office allowing the dispatcher to monitor current driver status and react promptly to minimise violations and improve CSA scores.
Tachograph analysis software allows to get comprehensive information on driver activity and ensure compliance with the mandate’s rules.
These tools allow to detect possible rule violations, thus helping to improve crew safety and minimize penalties imposed on drivers and companies for violating the rules.
Working with Tachographs
Tachograph regulations, aimed at helping to enforce the rules on driving periods and monitor the driving times of professional, have placed a great impact on the fleet management industry. And since working with digital tachographs has secured the more accurate recording and storage of data, recently developed the function of remote data download from tachographs to Wialon. A step further was the development of other 2 tools, aimed at improving the integrators’ work within one system.
Tacho Manager App
Our customer can enjoy the advantages of the Tacho Manager App, bringing the new benefits to the work of operators in international truck and cargo business.
Application lists activity per each available drive such as distance, speed and driving times and rest periods of the driver, these files are parsed and bound to drivers in Wialon and can be uploaded manually via Tacho Manager app.
The files are uploaded automatically through the GPS tracker. Files are saved and uploaded by the Disketta application. The program interface is simplified to the download bar and the list of files to assist the dispatcher in relevant information.
Tacho View ‒ towards an improved data analysis
Having taken into account the AETR and the EU specifics, another app named Tacho View that will be based on specifics of International Road Transport standards. Tacho View processes the data received from tachograph files. It allows reflecting driver’s activity based on a so-called “timeline” for better visual analysis. The app shows driving times and rest periods of the registered driver. You can use a calendar (on the right side) to choose the necessary date. The calendar can also be scaled if needed.
The entries are assessed in the following manner: • “Driver’s activity”. Information is displayed in a table. By choosing the necessary date, user can see the detailed driver’s activity over the specified period. • “Activity chart”. The selected time period is divided into days, where the information is displayed in diagrams (markers correlate with certain activity characteristics).
The entries can be printed in the form of report right from the App. In the nearest future, Tacho View will contain specifics on all countries where Tachograph regulations are present. And since manufacturers are improving their technologies each year by making the tachographs easier to use, we hope that our contributions stimulate the practice and guarantee fair competition and International road safety.
